Deep Tissue Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage is ideal for those who prefer or need more pressure during their treatment. It targets the deeper layers of muscle and surrounding tissues, using slower strokes and greater pressure to focus on specific muscles. Manual Lymphatic Drainage - Lymphedema Management & Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage

We offer two different types of Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

  1. Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage (BLD) Origin: Popularized in Brazil, most famously by Renata França. Approach: Firm, fast-paced, rhythmic massage strokes along lymph pathways, sometimes combined with body-contouring techniques. Focus: Visibly reduces bloating, swelling, and water retention. Promotes immediate aesthetic effects (slimmer waistline, flatter stomach). Experience: More vigorous and stimulating compared to traditional lymph drainage. Best for: Cosmetic results, post-surgery swelling (esp. cosmetic surgery), bloating, event-prep (e.g., brides, photo shoots).

  2. Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Origin: Developed in the 1930s by Dr. Emil Vodder (Europe). Approach: Highly structured, gentle, circular and pumping hand movements, with specific training/certification required. Focus: Clinical/therapeutic lymph drainage — reduces lymphedema, swelling, chronic inflammation, post-surgical recovery. Often prescribed in medical settings. Experience: Gentle, repetitive, almost hypnotic touch. Best for: Medical conditions (lymphedema, post-cancer treatment swelling, trauma recovery, post-surgical healing).
